Sony Xperia Z4 release date, news, specs and rumors....!!!!!!!!!!.....Take a loot at it.

Though the Xperia Z3 was just revealed at IFA 2014, Sony's speedy release schedule means its next flagship device should be hitting us early in 2015. With this in mind, we're taking a look at what we currently know about the new handset.

Sony Xperia Z4 release date

The original Sony Xperia Z was released in February of 2013, with the Xperia Z2 following a year later in March 2014. Since then, Sony has said it plans to forgo the the yearly release cycle that most manufactures have for their flagship handsets and release them on a bi-annual basis. With this being the case, the Xperia Z3 was announced at IFA 2014 and will be arriving shortly (sometime in the Autumn is the word, but we’re expecting to see it in September or October).
What all of this means for the Xperia Z4 is that we may see it appear in April next year, but maybe even as soon as March to coincide with the 2015 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which takes place between the 2nd and 5th of that month.

Sony Xperia Z4 price

Let’s be real. The Sony Xperia Z range is known for premium materials and hardware. The Z3 features a glass and aluminium housing, 20 MP camera, quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 5.2-inch full-HD display and 2 GB RAM. Oh, and it’s waterproof. The Z4 will be at least as powerful, so you can expect to pay top-dollar when it does appear.
To give you some sort of idea on pricing, the Xperia Z3 is going to be available for pre-order in the UK for £549 off-contract, and the 6-month old Z2 currently goes for £399 (down from the £549 RRP). We expect similar sort of prices for the next generation.

Sony Xperia Z4 specs

Sony has previously stated that it doesn't believe in QHD technology. The trade off of battery power for the benefit of a few extra pixels does not make sense for many manufacturers, and unless battery or QHD technology changes significantly in the next 6 months, we are unlikely to see it on the new device. Having said that, reports are circulating that Sony has experimented with QHD displays on a number of prototype models… maybe one of these might become the Z4?
Qualcomms Snapdragon 810 processor should be available by the time the Xperia Z4 rolls around. and it will boast a number of significant benefits to smartphone user. The 64-bit architecture which supports more than 4 GB RAM means that the 810 will likely make an appearance on a number of flagship smartphones, and we hope to see it on the Z4 also.

Sony Xperia Z4 features

It's going to be safe to assume that Android L will be running on any device released next year, so you can bet the Z4 will come with Android-Key-Lime-Lemon-Lollipop-Meringue-Pie as standard, along with all of the benefits it brings.
