Boost Bass in Android using Viper4Android FX

Who told you that you can get bass only using bass speakers or from Sony walkman or such music player? If you have an Android phone, then you don't need to worry about it. For Android, there are already many applications for bass boosting and for other music effects like Beats Audio, Clear Audio Mod etc. but actually none of them worked for me except Beats Audio which isn't supported now and is not updated. So when I was searching for such an application I came accross Viper4Android FX onXDA-Developer website.
Viper4Android FX isn't only for boosting bass, but is actually all-in-one audio control system for android. V4A supports almost all the android phones from GingerBread to KitKat (2.3.x>4.4.x) and may also support Android L as soon as it arrives. Without thinking about cores in the phone, you should install it in your phone because V4A works on low ended Single core and Dual core phones as well as on high ends Quad-Core and Octa-Core phones too. Obviously, it works on Hexa-Cored devices too. Also it supports x86 platform which includes Intel's Atom processors and new core series too. If your kernel supports DOCK audio output, then you can enjoy this feature too. You can control audio in dock mode too.

Viper4Android FX Running on Motorola Moto G [Installation Tutorial]

XposedGeek isn't responsible for bricked phones. It requires root permissions and can damange internal parts of the phone (especially speakers). So use it with care and it won't damage you, but if you use it without thinking what you're doing then it can brick your phone too!

Some best features of Viper4Android FX

  • Supports almost all android phones and cores: It supports all phones from Android 2.3 GingerBread running on ARM/x86 processor to 4.4.4 KitKat.
  • Control channel output: Using this feature, you can control audio output and can adjust their frequencies too. [Don't use it until you need it!].
  • Equalizer: Forget that old equalizer of your ROM or music player. V4A Equalizer is far better than the other ones because Viper4Android FX has it's own drivers so it can be customized more.
  • Hass effect: It is the best feature of V4A which I've found. You can search about it on Google, but in simple words, Hass effects simulates the position of the object or the place from where sound is coming. What happens is, the sound in one ear comes first and then from the second. This is how Hass works.
  • ViPER Bass and ViPER clarity: When you increase the bass, there is always a chance for the sound being unclear due to heavy bass, but ViPER clarity controls the bass and makes sure that the sound reaches to the speakers/headset clearly.
There are too many features which can make this page too long and boring, so ignoring them, I am moving further to how to install ViPER4Android FX in your phone.

How To Install ViPER4Android in Your Android Phone
  • Download the latest ViPER4Android Audio Effects apk file from it's official XDA thread. In the main download page, make sure you download "Viper4Android" and not "Viper4Windows".
  • Extract the .zip file of V4A zip, you will find two files in it namely ViPER4Android_FX_A4.x.apkand ViPER4Android_FX_A2.3.apk. If you have 2.3 phone, the install ViPER4Android_FX_A2.3.apkelse ViPER4Android_FX_A4.x.apk (For 4.x.x deivces too. May not work in Android L Developer Preview).
  • Install the application in your phone manually by tapping on it and selecting install button.
  • Open the application and it will open a popup to install Super Audio QualityHigh Audio Quality orPower Saving. If you have a low end phone, then you must install Power Saving else you can install Super Audio Quality for the best experience!
  • Reboot your phone for the drivers to be installed properly.
  • Open Viper4Android FX application and open Headset/Phone Speaker/Bluetooth Device and enable the 'Enable' option from the application which is the master control of it.

How To Root Android One (Spice, Karbonn and Micromax)

Android One, the phone launched by Spice, Karbonn and Micromax, but governed by Google just came in India and got huge success in India market. Though the phone is just like Micromax Unite 2, but still it became popular because it has got Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS and guaranteed updates via Google servers. The phone has got Andorid 4.4.4 OS and runs on MT6582 SoC same as Micromax Unite 2 does, so most probably Micromax Unite 2's rooting way should work on this phone too no matter even if has Android 4.4.4 because there ain't much patches in software security in Android 4.4.4 OS. We earlier showed how to root Micromax Unite 2 using KingRoot application and Baidu root. Many people reported that Baidu application doesn't work, so this time I am not going to add a tutorial for that application, because it's a complicated application. This method has not been tested, but still for testing purpose I'm presenting it with you all so that you can test it. This application will NOT BRICK YOUR PHONE. Don't worry about bricking the phone. Rooting never bricks the phone, it's only a rumour. I have myself tried to root my MT6582 phone and failed many times, but didn't brick my phone.
To root Android One, you can also use SP Tools with ReadBack method- the perfect method and it's the best method I should say because it backs up the stock ROM and likewise you can create a custom recovery to root the phone. Just google about ReadBack MTK and do the ReadBack. Once you have completed it you can see my this guide to root make a custom recovery for Android One and then you can root too using a custom recovery which I have already posted in my old tutorial.
In case you don't want to follow the above mentioned steps, you can see this easy tutorial to root the phone without PC.

How To Root Karbonn, Spice and Micromax Android One smartphones without PC

  • Get KingRoot application from it's official website or download the application directly from my Dev-Host link.
  • Go to Settings>Security and enable Unkown Sources to install applications from .apk format.
  • Push the application to SD Card using USB cable or other means.
  • Open file explorer and tap on the application to install KingRoot application. You will get a popup, just select Yes to install the application.
  • Tap on that big green circle to root the phone. Make sure your internet is working.

  • After that, a new box under the big circle will come up. Tap on it and reboot your phone.

If everything goes right as mentioned in this guide, then you have a rooted phone and KingUser application is root manager application. Incase if you want to install SuperSU instead of KingUser, then simply get it from Google Play Store and updates binaries using normal way!

How To Root Micromax A106 Unite 2 Without PC

As you might know that there are many ways to root Micromax Unite 2 by PC like ReadBack method, direct flash method or any other. But you know now you can also root your Micromax A116 without PC too. Some of you might not be owning a PC so it is help to them as well as for people who thinking SP Tools method is risky. Well the SP Tools method is risky actually for people who are trying SP Tools for the first time, but this method is too easy and actually you have no chances of bricking your phone.
After rooting your phone you can unlock many capabilities of your Micromax Unite 2. You can install Custom ROMs, flash custom recoveries and can customize the whole phone using Xposed Framework. Also you can boost up your battery life and performance with various tweaks. Also you can root your phone if you are bored of your phone now. You might have changed your launcher, changed lock screen or maybe customized your home screen with various wallpapers and widgets, but rooting can make your phone more customizable.
Also the network bars of Mcromax Unite 2 are not Grey or the notification bar isn't Transulcent as we have seen in Nexus 5, Moto G and some other phones. You can do that too, but at the cost of rooting.
Rooting will void your warranty which you may avail in future by unrooting your phone and flashing the stock ROM.

How To Root Micromax Unite 2 A106 Without PC [With KingRoot App]

  • Get KingRoot application from Dev Host.
  • Install KingRoot application like a normal application.

  • As soon as you see a tick mark in the circle which means your phone has successfully rooted, you can tap the blue button below which will appear after the rooting has been done.
Tap on the button next to the arrow.

  • Reboot your phone!

Rooting With Baidu Root App [May Not Work With All The Phones]

  • Open Settings and then move to Security and enable Unknown Sources. Just tick unkown sources and accept the warning.
  • Get Baidu Rooting Application from it's official website: Click here to visit Baidu Root. Don't open the website from Google Chrome (using a phone), because it appeared wired there. Try opening it with Opera Mini.
Download Baidu App to Root MT6582 on KitKat/Micromax Unite 2

  • You will see a blue box with Chinese language written in it. I haven't translated it so I don't know what's written there. Just click on this and you will be prompted to download BaiduRoot_2001.apk. Select Save and download the application.
  • Open any File Explorer application if you have and open SDCard>Download.
  • Now tap on BaiduRoot_2001.apk and select on Install to install this application in your phone.
  • Open the application from app drawer.
  • Now select Root button with some words written in Chinese language. Wait for some minutes and let the application download some binaries required to root the phone.
  • You will see a popup. Press back to close the popup.
  • Finally you will have a rooted phone. Now reboot for changes to take effect.
  • Now you can uninstall this application.
  • Further more you can install SuperSU application after rooting your phone and can uninstall Kinguser application if you want, but uninstall only if you have alternative Superuser application, else your phone will not have root access.
Keep it in mind..

If you have rooted your phone, then don't take it to service center until you have flashed stock firmware.
Don't play with system things until you have a backup, because it can lead to hard brick.
Never play with SP Tools if you don't know what are you doing.

[MTK] BACKUP YOUR WHOLE PHONE AND CREATE AUTOMATED CWM RECOVERY.

It is a must to backup your current working ROM before flashing any custom rom. So make a backup and feel free to test any custom rom. If you have any problem you can revert back to your old working rom by flashing the backup made by Mtk Droid tool using Sp Flash Tool.

Note:
  • Keep the mobile on.
  • Check your internal memory has more than 2GB of space.
  • Enable Debugging mode on.
  • Disable if any antivirus installed on your PC.

4. Click on IMEI/NVRAM and backup your NVRAM and IMEI. (Important)

5. Click on “root, backup, recovery” Tab.

6. Click on “backup userdata and cache“. And then click on Backup to backup your whole phone. This step is compulsory before installing the CWM recovery.

7. After backup complete Click on “To use boot from phone“. Then Click on “Recovery and Boot” Button.

8. Follow the next prompts and select YES in all.

9. Look into the phone now your phone will be in recovery mode. Now create a CWM backup of your whole phone.

10. Generally to go into recovery mode switch off your mobile then press “Volume up +Power” button.

Njoy !!!

Note: This process may not work for some MTK devices. But it is tested and working for MT6589 and MT6582..

How to fix common Samsung Galaxy S4 problems???

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is one of the most popular Android phones ever produced. But the popularity of the handset does not mean that it is completely free from problems. In fact there are a number of issues that crop up time and time again; thankfully, many of these problems can be very easily fixed. Read on to discover quick and easy fixes for Galaxy S4 problems and solutions to common issues from random restarts to battery and speed problems.

Battery drains quickly

Not making it through the day on a single charge is something that comes to many phones with age. If you find that your S4 is just not holding its charge for as long as it used to, it is possible that there is a problem with your battery, but it is more likely that apps are to blame.

You can check which of the apps you have installed are responsible for eating through your battery by opening up Settings. Tap More followed by Battery and you will see a graph that illustrates how your battery has been draining, as well as details of which apps are the culprits.
If you spot apps here that you are not using any more, you can simply uninstall them, but it may also be an indication that you need to remember to manually terminate certain apps when you stop using them. Just press and hold the home button to bring up your Recent Apps list and then swipe away any apps you want to close.

You'll probably notice that there is an entry for Screen very near the top of the list, if not at the very top. If you tap this you will be able to see just how long your screen has been on while your phone has been unplugged. To help reduce the battery draw your screen has, tap the Display button and try adjusting the Brightness ad Screen timeout settings to something a little lower.

Longer battery life can also be achieved by enabling Power Saving Mode. Head to the My Device section of Settings and you can switch on the feature that will limit processor speed, turn off haptic feedback and automatically adjust screen brightness. It's also a good idea to turn off any phone features you are not using – like Air View, NFC and so on.
Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the button to the far right. In the list of Quick Settings, disable any options you do not need by tapping them.

Phone gets hot

The biggest concern here is that there could be something physically wrong with the battery, and it is overheating – this in turn can lead to battery drain problems or worse. One way to check for battery problems is to remove it from your phone and place it on a flat surface. If it spins freely when you rotate it (try turning it over as well), the bulge that makes this possible is indicative of a problem that needs to be addressed. It could be a simple matter of buying a replacement battery, but it's worth taking your phone into an authorized repair shop to get it checked out.

If your battery seems to be physically OK, it's worth checking that your phone and all of its apps are fully up to date. To ensure that you have all of the latest updates for your phone, head to the More section of Settings and tap About Device. Now tap Software Update followed by Update. Download anything that is detected and you can then check for updates for your apps. Fire up the Play Store app, head to My apps and hit Update All to grab any available patches. Having the latest versions of your apps is always a good wayt to save battery life.

Unexpected restarts

Having your phone restart randomly can be extremely annoying, and it is usually indicative of some other sort of problem. It could be that there is a physical problem with your battery – such as the connections being bad – but the fault could also lie with software. As described above, it’s a good idea to check for phone and app updates to make sure that this is not the cause of restarts.

If you have opted to expand your storage by adding a memory card, this could also be the source of your problems. Try removing the microSD card to see if the restart problem vanishes. If you find that your phone functions normally when there is no memory card inserted, it's time to invest in a new card.

Camera problems

Many Galaxy S4 owners report problems with the camera app. The precise nature of the problem can vary, but symptoms include the app closing unexpectedly, images not displaying properly, and issues with taking photos. As mentioned above, a faulty memory card can lead to other unexpected problems, so it's worth removing the card you are using at the moment or replacing it with another one to see if that helps.

You can also try clearing app caches to see if that helps. Open Settings, tap More and open the Application Manager. Swipe across to the All section and locate the entry for the Camera app. Tap it and then tap both the Clear cache and Clear data buttons in turn. It's worth repeating this with the Gallery app.

Wi-Fi connection problems

When you're at home, you may well have noticed that your phone sometimes seems to have trouble connecting to your wireless network. This is usually the case when the Wi-Fi signal is weak, but it can crop up at other times as well.

You may find that you are plagued with messages informing you that your internet connection has been disabled because of slow speeds. While this may sound counterintuitive, try disabling mobile data – you may just find that it helps. Swipe down from the top of the screen and toggle the Mobile Data setting to off.

Another option is to disable Wi-Fi Power Save mode. Fire up the dialer and type the code *#0011# to enter Service Mode. Tap the menu key and select the Wi-Fi option. Under the Wi-Fi Power Save Mode heading, tap the On button so that it changes to Off. Press the back button to return to the home screen.

General slow down

Your S4 probably feels a little slower than it did when you first bought it. Thankfully, there are lots of ways in which you can help to speed things up again, including doing a factory reset. Check out our dedicated guide (link under the first picture) to speed up your Galaxy S4.
